Where to Buy T-Posts
The right post, under ten bucks, everywhere
T-posts aren't included in the kits because they're heavy, cheap and sold in nearly every town in America. Here's exactly what to buy and where.
Buy This
6'-6" studded T-post
- Minimum 1.25 lbs per foot (TP125) or 1.33 lbs per foot (TP133)
- 6'-6" length leaves proper depth below grade for wind loading
- Usually under $10 each
- Standard fence post — no special order
Avoid This
"Garden variety" posts
- Light-duty posts from home improvement garden sections
- Anything under 1.25 lbs per foot — light duty does not fit Banner Bar T-clips
- Shorter than 6'-6" — not enough post below grade

Don't forget the driver
A T-post driver is required for proper installs — and a T-post puller makes removal fast without bending posts. Both are available at the same retailers. Gloves and hearing protection strongly recommended.
