The banner frame opportunity How often do you see banners installed like the one in this video? When you're in the sign business, if you are like me, you see this opportunity all the time! Let's talk about the solution The Banner Bar is designed to be self installed for businesses that have grounds maintenance staff or it can be an opportunity for your sign company to increase revenue by offering an installation service along with the sale of the banner and Banner Bar. A typical Banner Bar installation takes less than 30 minutes when installed in a grassy landscaped area. How easy is it to remove? The Banner Bar can be easily removed after the banner campaign is finished. Depending on the soil type, the T-posts can be rocked back and forth until they are loose enough to pull upward. The better solution is to use a T-post puller as shown on the left side of this installation kit photo. Using the T-post puller prevents the T-posts from bending and makes the removal much faster and easier for your installer. They can be purchased in most US markets at Tractor Supply (or other similar retailers) with the option to have it delivered to your shop along with T-posts. What about replacement bungees?
We highly recommend keeping a supply of Banner Bar replacement bungees on your installation truck. Keeping the bungees fresh is a great way to provide extra customer service while making sure your customer's banners are always looking good. Depending on your weather and wind conditions, bungees typically last 2 - 3 months before needing replacement. We've switched to a single hook bungee for all new orders but we sill offer the heavier duty ball bungee if you prefer the older style.

T-posts are inexpensive and readily available at most ranch supply stores. See our recommended T-post and T-post driver suppliers here. The Banner Bar is designed to work with 6.5' long t-posts. T-posts are rated with a pound per foot rating. The Banner Bar works with 1.25 lb per foot or 1.33 lb per foot t-posts. Garden variety t-posts or U-channel posts are not compatible with the Banner Bar. As a previous wide format print shop owner, I was often asked how to install banners. Prior to developing the Banner Bar, we didn't have a way to answer this question with a high level of confidence. Most people had access to "green fence posts" so they would drive a couple of posts in the ground and stretch the banner between them. It was not uncommon to drive by their place of business a few days later and see their brand new banner on the ground or shredded by the wind. Many customers would get frustrated because they thought we'd sold them a poor quality banner that didn't last. In reality, we produced their banners using quality materials and finishing techniques. The true culprit was the lack of a good frame system to hold their banner. This problem set me on the path to create a solution for displaying freestanding banners that could withstand 30 to 40 mph winds.
